Edo Castle Outer Moat Waterfront Regeneration Project: Edo Castle Outer Moat Projection Mapping
国指定史跡である江戸城外堀跡・牛込濠の法面約100mに、歌川広重の「名所江戸百景」に描かれた江戸の水辺の風景や、花見・祭りで賑わう江戸のまちなどの浮世絵をモチーフにした映像のほか、水辺の再生によってよみがえる外濠をイメージした錦鯉や花々を投影。東京都の「外濠の水辺再生事業」に対する理解促進を目指した実証実験として開催されました。

場所: 江戸城外濠牛込濠法面 (東京都新宿区市谷田町三丁目約 100mの区間)

Images inspired by ukiyo-e depicting the waterside scenery of Edo from Utagawa Hiroshige's "One Hundred Famous Views of Edo," along with scenes of the lively city during cherry blossom viewing and festivals, were projected onto a roughly 100m stretch of the Ushigome Moat embankment, part of the nationally designated historic site of the Edo Castle Outer Moat. The projection also featured nishikigoi (koi) and flowers symbolizing the outer moat's revival through waterfront regeneration.
The event was held as a demonstration project aimed at promoting understanding of Tokyo's "Outer Moat Waterfront Regeneration Project."
