郵船クルーズ株式会社が運航する日本最高峰のラグジュアリークルーズ客船「飛鳥Ⅲ」。横浜を母港とし、日本船籍として最大となる総トン数52,265GTを誇ります。船内エンターテインメント空間「リュミエールシアター」には、ホログラフィックスクリーン・大型LEDスクリーンを完備。
演目「KAGUYA −かぐや−」は、現存する日本最古の物語とされる「竹取物語」をオマージュしたオリジナル作品です。日本ならではの美しさを、映像とダンサーによる舞踊で表現しています。このうち、メインビジュアルに使われた竹林・天の川、ダンサーの舞踊に連動する粒子のカットの制作を担当しました。

"Asuka III," operated by NYK Cruises, is Japan's premier luxury cruise ship. With its home port in Yokohama, it boasts a gross tonnage of 52,265 GT, the largest under the Japanese flag. Its onboard entertainment space, the "Lumière Theater," is equipped with a holographic screen and a large LED screen.
The performance "KAGUYA" is an original work paying homage to "The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter," regarded as the oldest surviving story in Japan. It expresses a distinctly Japanese sense of beauty through visuals and dance performance. I produced the bamboo grove and Milky Way imagery used in the main visual, along with the particle effects synchronized with the dancers' movements.
